Welcome to my blog! This is my chance to comment, editorialize, and ramble. Nothing posted on this blog is meant to represent my employers or clients.
I’m a matchmaker and storyteller. My strength is engagement and building community with consumers, management, businesses, and students (I even collaborate with Millennials and GenZ). Through PR and marketing communications (marcom), I create positive user experiences/relationships.
I’ve helped build brands, and increased mindshare and sales for consumer product, biotech, healthcare, IT security, software, and hospitality companies.
I’m a full-time Instructor in Communication at Southern New Hampshire University in Manchester, NH. I’ve helped update SNHU’s Comm program by creating a PR minor, developing a Data-Driven Decisions course, and serving as Advisor to the award-winning student newspaper. I teach Public Relations, PR Writing, PR Campaign Planning, Social Media, Journalism, Intro to Mass Comm, Public Speaking, and Data-Driven Decisions.
I am also NSEE Experiential Education Academy Certified. In Fall 2015, I was elected to the Board of the Yankee Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), and have earned my APR.
I have been named a “Top Marketing Professor on Twitter” by Social Media Marketing Magazine in each edition from Dec. 2010 through Dec. 2014 (most recent ranking).
As a journalist, my articles have appeared in The Boston Globe, LA Times, Christian Science Monitor, Newsweek, Crain Communications, and more. I’m also available for brand journalism projects.
In 1999, after years of agency and corporate PR experience, I started TechMarcom, a boutique agency specializing in marcom for start-ups through large corporations.
I also served as Adjunct Instructor at Emerson College and Bentley University. I won a Bentley Service Learning Faculty Award, and became Faculty Adviser of Emerson’s PRSSA chapter. In September 2011, I moved TechMarcom to a project basis to join SNHU.
My peer review article appeared in The Journal of Hospitality & Leisure Marketing.
